AAMP
AAMP is a student-centered training program involving a dynamic small-group approach that allows students to acquire deeper knowledge through actively exploring real-world challenges. As students complete each lesson, they master important leadership skills that can be applied in school, with friends, and in the community.
curriculum & goals
The goal of AAMP is to: (1) improve social skills and interpersonal relationships, (2) increase confidence and self-concept, (3) improve conflict resolution skills, (4) increase connectedness to school, (5) decrease truancy, (6) decrease disciplinary referrals, and (7) improve academic performance.
Coach Holley designed this program with his childhood experiences closely in mind. In his youth, he felt that he really needed a program like this. He was a struggling young man that needed help with forging positive relationships, achieving academic success, and learning soft and technical skills. Coach Holley knows that the biggest piece that most individuals are missing in this department is the feeling that they’re NOT in a safe space mentally and/or environmentally. Ultimately, a feeling of emotional, mental, spiritual, and environmental safety is key to how our physical states of being are affected.
Day 1 – This session introduces students to each other and to the importance of building a positive peer group characterized by growing trust between members (Students and leaders).
Days 2 and 3 – These sessions help students form a positive, supportive group by creating group rules, identifying, practicing, and providing helpful feedback.
Days 4 through 8 – These sessions introduce students to the importance of monitoring their behavior to achieve the program goals.
Days 9 and 10 – These sessions are designed to have students set their two-week program goals for school achievement, Making Healthy Choices, and Community involvement.
Days 11 and 12– Character Education: Students can use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as their social-emotional competencies to be ethical, engaged citizens and leaders who serve their school, family, and community.

Hello My name is Coach Ronnie Ray Gutierrez- otherwise known as Coach Ray. I was born and raised in Oxnard California, just minutes away from Los Angeles.
Being a kid from from Ventura County I had a rough up bringing, but my lifestyle of growing up rough in the streets caused me to want more within myself. This desire to grow lead me into the Oxnard Pal boxing gym.
Throughout my teenage years I found that I had a strong love for fitness which pushed me to acquire a stronger mentality. I had to start from the very bottom and I was always in survival mode… Getting closer to the gym was my best option to better myself and my future.
I now have over 12 years of experience training within a gym and have gained a wealth of knowledge in training, nutrition and overall fitness. My life’s choices have lead me to become a truly responsible and resilient person.
I am proud to say that I am now a trainer, coach, mentor and social & emotional learning specialist at Absolute Body Armor and I have the honor to share my knowledge with the youth in AAMP. I absolutely love what I do and I want to continue sharing my life experiences and wellness coaching expertise with the world.

My name is Coach De Leon and I’m based in Visalia, California. Currently, I am working as a Personal Trainer at Absolute Body Armor, and I work for the Absolute Armor Mentoring Program (AAMP) as well. My mission is to guide people into becoming the best version of themselves mentally, physically and emotionally. I am attending college in hopes of majoring in kinesiology and/or communication. I played football as wide receiver/running back and competed in track and field. My experience being an athlete taught me how to maintain a strong body and strong mind. In my spare time I like doing outside activities with friends and family.

I served for 5 years and retired out of the service. I now work as an Executive Protection Agent. I am also a business major at College of the Sequoias. My mission statement as a Coach here at AAMP is to provide a safe place for student athletes to work on their craft as they also work on their mental strength. I like to employ the 4 C’s of mental toughness: Confidence, Control, Commitment and Challenge. These fundamental concepts will encourage young athletes to grow into fine young men and women.
